IF YOU LIKE ALL Neurosis’S SONG GO FOR IT! Ivan Grach has compared writing for Neurosis’s new album to that on ‘Times Of Grace’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Lead single “Suspended In Light” and “The Doorway” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Neurosis ever.
The Doorway is the albums biggest surprise. Under The Surface - another great track from the Times Of Grace album. The Last You`ll Know is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Album opener Belief is a bright, upbeat ditty. Exist sets the tone for the entire album. End Of The Harvest has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Descent (2:57) - awsome. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. This track is clearly meant to showcase Neurosis’s vocal abilities. The Road To Sovereignty is probably the highlight of the album.
