Since completing 1993’s ‘Anytime Of The Year’, Claudine Longet fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. I am not a real Easy Listening music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Sugar Me’ really is amazing. For older fans Sugar Me will put a massive smile accross your face. This album is a scorcher!
Guess Who I Saw In Paris is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Sugar Me is You Don’t Have To Be Baby To Cry. Once With Wings gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Vocals of Claudine Longet in All Alone Am I really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Who Broke Your Heart is really the reason why I recommend buying Sugar Me. Claudine Longet sings Goodbye Jimmy Goodbye in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Every Beat Of My Heart is absolutely incredible. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. I can’t stop humming along You Set My Dreams To Music. I Cannot Love You is a fine track on any terms. Voice of Claudine Longet in As If You Walked Away is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant.
