This fourteen-song debut EP shows the promise that The Art Of Noise has. It has been fourteen years The Art Of Noise’ last studio CD, “The Seduction Of Claude Debuss” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. There is so much to love about The Art Of Noise, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This album is a scorcher!
Born On A Sunday has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets The Art Of Noise’s strong vocals come to the fore. In Dreaming In Colour you won’t find any flashy solos. On Being Blue is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. The Art Of Noise allows each song to breathe and flourish. You have to get essence of the Rapt In The Evening Air’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Metaforce. The Holy Egoism Of Genius is The Art Of Noise’s best work in years. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Metaphor On The Floor is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Approximate Mood Swing No 2 is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Pause is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Musically Out Of This World (Version 138…) is superior to other tracks in The Seduction Of Claude Debuss.
