After seeing Cliffhanger, I had to have a good Shadow Gallery cd. Since Shadow Gallery last CD (Carved In Stone) on Columbia Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is one of the best Cd’s Shadow Gallery has dropped to date. Carved In Stone is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Interlude A - a classic song. Crystalline Dream without a doubt is the standout song of Carved In Stone. Interlude B is probably one of Shadow Gallery’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Don’t Ever Cry, Just Remember to me is the best you can get from Shadow Gallery. Interlude C is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Music in Celtic Princess is amazing as in all tracks of Carved In Stone. Deeper Than Life - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Shadow Gallery has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. The sound of Interlude E is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Ghostship-The Gathering The Night Before - This is a very lively song. Ghostship-Voyage is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Ghostship-Dead Calm hits the heart. Simple and heartfelt closing track Ghostship-Approaching Storm closes Carved In Stone on a high note. Ghostship-Storm is one of these floating songs. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. I came to like Ghostship-Legend. If you are a Shadow Gallery fan, you will love Ghosttrack.
