It’s natural for Phil Coulter to take a stab at ‘Shenandoah’ considering her long-professed love for Armin Van Buuren. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Phil Coulter has. After seeing Shenandoah, I had to have a good Phil Coulter cd. To me Phil Coulter is the best band ever.
My Old Kentucky Home, I Dream Of Jeannie is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Phil Coulter is one of artists that allow his songs like Now Is The Hour to stand on their own and be heard. The Streets Of Loredo, Irene Goodnight is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through American Tranquility. I now have Home Away From Home as one of my personal favorites. I believe The Girl I Left Behind Me, The Yellow Rose Of Texas is one of the most amazing, heartfelt songs ever written. Overall a nice softer song. Nantucket Sunrise - A nice song. Beautiful Dreamer is one of these floating songs. In Pier Avenue you won’t find any flashy solos. Some call The Green Leaves Of Summer from American Tranquility as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. I’ll Take You Home Again Kathleen is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after American Tranquility have ended. The Banks Of The Ohio is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Natasha is the song that really did it for me. Love’s Old Sweet Song without a doubt is the standout song of American Tranquility. Beautiful Isle Of Somewhere defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. I like to sing along with Hoedown, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes.
