IF YOU LIKE ALL Waltari’S SONG GO FOR IT! Since Waltari last CD (Pala Leipaa-Ein Stuckchen Brot) on Capitol Records back in 1993, I have felt a massive void in my life. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Waltari has. To me Waltari is the best band ever.
Good God is probably one of Waltari’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Aika Tuulee (Time Blows) is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Pala Leipaa (A Piece Of Bread) is one of these floating songs. Liisrie-Mies (Glue Man) is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. I like the agression and power of Nakki (Sausage). Olen Seuraaja (I Am A Follower) hits the heart. Ma Haluun Elaa (I Wanna Live) on Pala Leipaa-Ein Stuckchen Brot is solid and easy to listen to. Hippakaveri (Party Animal) - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Simple and heartfelt closing track Sad Song closes Pala Leipaa-Ein Stuckchen Brot on a high note. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Shout (3:40) a good melody. Mut Hei! (But Hey!) very upbeat. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Rasnavitsavia from the beginning to the end. Icebox is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Opening track F.U.C.K. Rap shows the best of Waltari. Musically Sillanpaa (Bridge End) is superior to other tracks in Pala Leipaa-Ein Stuckchen Brot. Waltari allows each song to breathe and flourish. Kinastellaan (Let’s Argue) to me is the best you can get from Waltari. Waltari is hitting on all cylinders in Uhoa, Ei Tuhoa (Threat, Not Destruction).
