There is no doubt that Pain of Salvation has talent. While no new Pain of Salvation album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1999 tour in Australia. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Pain of Salvation on ‘Spirit Of The Land’. I Love One Hour By The Concrete Lake from start to finish!
This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Pain of Salvation. The Big Machine gives taste of what makes Pain of Salvation special as a musician. From the moment you listen to New Year’s Eve you’re hooked. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Blew our minds when we first heard Water. In Home Pain of Salvation is at his best. You have to get essence of the Black Hills’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Pilgrim is probably one of Pain of Salvation’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Shore Serenity had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Inside Out is another favourite of mine. Beyond The Mirror is a strong cut, one of many.
