Since completing 1986’s ‘Broadway Blues’, Jaco Pastorius fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is the first studio album from Jaco Pastorius since bad diagnosis in 1986. While no new Jaco Pastorius album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1986 tour in Africa. If I may, I suggest “Broadway Blues”. That one song is amazing!
The song feels complete. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Star Spangled Banner gives good insight into the truths. There is astounding mix of music in Reza. Honestly actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Jaco Pastorius’s face. The sound of Invitation is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Jaco Reggae is excellent work of Jaco Pastorius.
