It has been thirteen years Isao Tomita’ last studio CD, “Jungle Emperor Leo” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. On Jungle Emperor Leo album, Isao Tomita have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This disc has all of the essential Isao Tomita classics. Isao Tomita “Jungle Emperor Leo” is an amazing album.
A great put together song. Isao Tomita allows each song to breathe and flourish. Jungle Emperor Leo - 04 can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Isao Tomita is all about. Jungle Emperor Leo - 05 pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Jungle Emperor Leo - 06 is astounding song though, very addictive. The first time I listened to Jungle Emperor Leo - 07 I was struck by its amazing sound. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Jungle Emperor Leo - 09 is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Isao Tomita sings his heart out in Jungle Emperor Leo - 11. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Jungle Emperor Leo - 13 which is my favorite is a truly Isao Tomita sounding song. Jungle Emperor Leo - 14 is beautiful, yet underrated track. Jungle Emperor Leo - 15 is one of the best records ever. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. In Jungle Emperor Leo - 17 it becomes nowhere more obvious that Isao Tomita has yet to define own style. Jungle Emperor Leo - 18 is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. This song may be the most meaningful. Jungle Emperor Leo - 20 - a classic song. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Jungle Emperor Leo - 21 because the melody in the chorus is so good. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Jungle Emperor Leo. Jungle Emperor Leo - 23 is worth the money. After you’ve listened to Jungle Emperor Leo - 24, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. What sets Jungle Emperor Leo - 26 apart is Isao Tomita’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Only one song from Jungle Emperor Leo named Jungle Emperor Leo - 27 really got me. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Isao Tomita. In Jungle Emperor Leo - 30 Isao Tomita is at his best.
