Invitation isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This album has some very good songs like Invitation and Amerika. IF YOU LIKE ALL Jaco Pastorius’S SONG GO FOR IT! I greatly enjoyed this CD.
Amerika on Invitation is solid and easy to listen to. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Invitation is Soul Intro -The Chicken. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Invitation. Sophisticated Lady as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. I like Reza - Giant Steps - Reza (reprise) because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. I like the idea behind Fannie Mae. Although Eleven is very melodic it is far from sad.
