IF YOU LIKE ALL Deniece Williams’S SONG GO FOR IT! This disc has all of the essential Deniece Williams classics. Self-described as R&B: Soul with lots of words, Deniece Williams comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Deniece Williams is one of my favourite bands of all time.
This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. How’d I Know That Love Would Slip Away has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Deniece Williams’s strong vocals come to the fore. Cause You Love Me, Baby has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Free is the more seemingly obscure song on This Is Niecy that bear up best to repeated listening. Watching Over on This Is Niecy is solid and easy to listen to. Music and lyrics of If You Don’t Believe creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming.
