On the India charts, superstar The Chipmunks’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. The Chipmunks “Christmas With the Chipmunks, Vol. 2″ is an amazing album.
Album opener Deck the Halls is a bright, upbeat ditty. Twelve Days of Christmas one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, which shows, blatantly, how much The Chipmunks has evolved as a singer. Jolly Old Saint Nicholas - The Chipmunks first major hit. The first time I listened to Wonderful Day I was struck by its perfect sound. I believe Christmas Time is one of the most amazing, heartfelt songs ever written. Vocals of The Chipmunks in (All I Want for Christmas Is) My Two Front Teeth really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Only one song from Christmas With the Chipmunks, Vol. 2 named O Christmas Tree (O Tannenbaum) really got me. Music and lyrics of Night Before Christmas creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. I was truly moved when I heard Here We Come A-Caroling.
