It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Roachford energies, virtually a rebirth. There is no doubt that Roachford has talent. It’s natural for Roachford to take a stab at ‘Get Ready!’ considering her long-professed love for UB40. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Get Ready!.
|titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Funkee Chile make listening to Roachford like being in some sort of time warp. I loved Stone City the first time I heard it. I find myself hearing bits of Wannabee Loved Bayou here and there throughout my waking hours. Innocent Eyes rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. In Takin’ It Easy you won’t find any flashy solos. In Higher it becomes nowhere more obvious that Roachford has yet to define own style. Roachford breathes new life into the music in Vision Of The Future. In Get Ready! (Reprise) full palet of sound is used by Roachford to accentuate the presentation.
