This thirteen-song debut EP shows the promise that John Mayall has. IF YOU LIKE ALL John Mayall’S SONG GO FOR IT! After debuting at No. 1 last week, John Mayall’s album The Blues Alone falls to No. 2 with 448,000, a sales slide of 81%. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
Simple and heartfelt closing track Please Don’t Tell closes The Blues Alone on a high note. Down The Line is a striking and quite long song. John Mayall rocks harder than ever with Sonny Boy Blow. Although Marsha’s Mood is very melodic it is far from sad. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. The song Catch That Train ending is my favorite… so catchy! All of songs on The Blues Alone and have something to say letting alone Cancelling Out. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Brown Sugar is outstanding work of John Mayall. When I listen to Broken Wings in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. In Don’t Kick Me it becomes nowhere more obvious that John Mayall has yet to define own style.
