Thom Yorke has compared writing for Laaz Rockit’s new album to that on ‘No Stranger To Danger’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This is one of the best Cd’s Laaz Rockit has dropped to date. Lead single “Dreams Die Hard” and “I’ve Got Time” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Unappreciated gift to Metal: Thrash
I’ve Got Time - a classic song. Town To Down is a fine track on any terms. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Stand Alone is really a nice song to relax and listen too. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. After about the third Off The Deep End listen through, I began to believe this song is Laaz Rockit’s essence. Tonight Alive - Okay, I just talked about depth. No Stranger To Danger couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Wrecking Machine. Euroshima* is the albums biggest surprise. It’s such an underrated song. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. I like Forced To Fight* because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Leatherface* is one of my favorite songs by Laaz Rockit.
