Bun B. Hear has compared writing for Jeff Mills’s new album to that on ‘Purposemaker Compilation’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. It has been ten years Jeff Mills’ last studio CD, “Purposemaker Compilation” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This is the first studio album from Jeff Mills since bad diagnosis in 1997. This album is awesome.
Casa - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. In The Bells you won’t find any flashy solos. Jeff Mills rocks harder than ever with Reverting. Alarms is a great opener for Purposemaker Compilation. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Cubango - A nice song. Medicine Man - A catchy, upbeat tune. Paradise is a fine track on any terms. Masterplan is possibly the best song Jeff Mills has come up. In Fly Guy full palet of sound is used by Jeff Mills to accentuate the presentation. Jeff Mills breathes new life into the music in Fuzz Dance. Tango is the funkiest number on the album. I listened to the opening track Captivate and liked it a lot.
