On the Iceland charts, superstar Tri Yann’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. I am not a real Celtic music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Belle Et Rebelle’ really is amazing. Since Tri Yann last CD (Belle Et Rebelle) on ForeFront Records back in 1990, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is my first Tri Yann Album and i must say i am blown away.
Sur La Fosse Au Boulot has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Produced And Bottled In Nantes without a doubt is the standout song of Belle Et Rebelle. Korydwen Et Le Rouge De Kenholl is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Le Renard - Okay, I just talked about depth. Le Tourdion Des Manants (3:12) - awsome. Sonate De Paul Ladmirault is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think La Petite Perrine, La Marchande De Coccinnelles is my favorite song on Belle Et Rebelle. Les Pailles D’or BrisEs which is my favorite is a truly Tri Yann sounding song. This is probably my favorite song on the album. After few listenings I started to like Favet Neptunus Eunti more and more.
