On Thunder and Consolation album, New Model Army have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Now signed to New Model Army’s Blue Note Records, the title track from second album “Thunder and Consolation” leads New Model Army’s back-to-school campaign. This album has some very good songs like I Love The World and Stupid Questions. If you love New Model Army as much as I do, then New Model Army Thunder and Consolation is the CD for you!
Stupid Questions is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. 225 has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets New Model Army’s strong vocals come to the fore. Inheritance - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Green and Grey - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Ballad Of Bodmin Pill - My least favorite song on this album. Family - A nice song. Family Life is outstanding work of New Model Army. The song feels complete. This track is a great song that still never gets old. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. The Charge is such a astounding and optimistic song that things can get just better. Chinese Whispers is the albums biggest surprise. New Model Army sings his heart out in Nothing Touches. I like White Coats because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming.
