Self-described as Celtic with lots of words, Tri Yann comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Tri Yann has. It has been three years Tri Yann’ last studio CD, “En Concert” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Enjoy the show.
This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Kan An Alarc’h had me crying as I was able to relate so well. The sound in Le Dauphin is really warm and Tri Yann’s signature voice is still very much present. Si Mort A Mors has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. After about the third Mrs Mc Dermott Roches Favourite listen through, I began to believe this song is Tri Yann’s essence. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Les Metamorphoses De Madeleine Bernard from the beginning to the end. Still going through En Concert and coming to appreciate Kan Ar Kann more and more with every listen. Brian Boru - A catchy, upbeat tune. Guerre Guerre,Vente Vent La Fleur… - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Overall a nice softer song. Tri Yann has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Le Soleil Est Noir is simply gorgeous. Don’t judge Chanson De Pelot D’hennebont on the first listening. I now have Dans Les Prisons De Nantes as one of my personal favorites.
