La Legende (cd2) carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. For older fans La Legende (cd2) will put a massive smile accross your face. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Tri Yann. This is what good Celtic should be.
Vocals of Tri Yann in With a bing Tow Row Row really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. What sets Galvadeg en tri kant mil soudard apart is Tri Yann’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Le temps du jour de l’an is nothing but pure genius. I love the melodic melody of Pelot d’Hennebont and to this day it makes me feel good. La decouverte ou l’ignorance have really caught my ear and imagination. Tri martelod is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Le mariage insolite de Marie la Bretonne - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Deja mal marie is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Tri Yann released so far. Kan an Kan - a classic song. Gwerz jorj courtois still maintains something of a specific flourish. Kan peoc’h - Tri Yann first major hit. I believe Le vieux Laudia is one of the most marvelous, heartfelt songs ever written. Rond de Saint Vincent revival (3:53) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Si mort a mors - My least favorite song on this album. Sur la fosse au boulot (4:01) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! In La petite Perinne, la marchande de coccinelles you won’t find any flashy solos. Tri Yann rocks harder than ever with Le soleil est noir. I find myself hearing bits of Prince qu’en mains tenez here and there throughout my waking hours. Les prisons de Nante one is one of the better boring ones. Noel guerandais on La Legende (cd2) is solid and easy to listen to. Such hits like Kerfank 1870 will leave you hooked.
