Self-described as Celtic with lots of words, Tri Yann comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. When you buy a Tri Yann album, you know exactly what you’re getting! I am not a real Celtic music type of person, but i have to admit ‘La Legende (cd1)’ really is amazing. Tri Yann is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Cantic war sujet an anaon actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Tri Yann’s face. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Song for ye, Jacobites is probably the most interesting track on La Legende (cd1). Tri Yann has astounded me with this amazing track. Kalonkadour is nothing but pure genius. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Les filles de Redon from the beginning to the end. La vierge a la fontaine - For me, this is the best of the album. You have to get essence of the La marche en sol’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Tri Yann sings La ballade du cheval Mallet in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Les filles des forges (pile-menu) is Tri Yann’s best work in years. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. A great put together song. If you are a Tri Yann fan, you will love Guerre, guerre, vente, vent. Chanson a boire is one of the best records ever. This track is a great song that still never gets old. In Cheveux d’or Tri Yann is at his best. Derobee de Guingamp is a medium tempo tune. Complainte de Yuna Madalen is a fine track on any terms. I believe Le reel de Louis Marie is one of the most exquisite, heartfelt songs ever written. Tri Yann has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving.
