On the Hungary charts, superstar Pete Seeger’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Pete Seeger was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Pete Seeger and For Kids and Just Plain Folks together. Pete Seeger had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. For Kids and Just Plain Folks is not something you should pass up.
This Old Car as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Put If I Had A Hammer (The Hammer Song) into car stereo for your highway driving Charming song, great melody. Pete Seeger has astounded me with this amazing track. Little Birdie is pretty funky and mellow. Hobo’s Lullaby is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Here’s To Cheshire-Here’s To Cheese (Froggy) is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. If You Miss Me At The Back Of The Bus is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Michael Row The Boat Ashore is a bit different from Pete Seeger stereotypical stuff. Henry My Son is a very catchy tune. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is This Land Is Your Land because the melody in the chorus is so good. What sets Be Kind To Your Parents apart is Pete Seeger’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Wimoweh (The Lion Sleeps Tonight) is the most memorable and astounding.
