This -song debut EP shows the promise that Julie London has. There is so much to love about Julie London, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Wild, Cool and Swingin’ carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Come On-A My House and My Heart Belongs To Daddy is really good.
My Heart Belongs To Daddy is a good listen every once in a while. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Girl Talk because the melody in the chorus is so good. Music of You’d Be So Nice To Come Home To is gentle, never overbearing. I believe You’re My Thrill is one of the most marvelous, heartfelt songs ever written. Julie London is one of artists that allow his songs like Makin’ Whoopee to stand on their own and be heard. Black Coffee is perfect. The opening track ‘Tain’t What You Do is very much like you would expect from other albums. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Wild, Cool and Swingin’. Comin’ Thro’ The Rye is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Night Life is a very catchy tune. You And The Night And The Music is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Voice and instruments in Nice Girls Don’t Stay For Breakfast complement each other. Only one song from Wild, Cool and Swingin’ named Watermelon Man really got me. Go Slow - This is a very lively song. Julie London is hitting on all cylinders in Wives And Lovers. What sets I Must Have That Man apart is Julie London’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. I can’t stop playing Let There Be Love. Mad About The Boy has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. It’s such an underrated song. Mickey Mouse March is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day.
