Self-described as Ambient with lots of words, Sacred Spirit comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Chants And Dances Of The Nativ isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Lead single “How The West Was Lost” and “Winter Ceremony” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Sacred Spirit is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Winter Ceremony is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. No Sacred Spirit song has come close to capturing my attention as The Cradlesong did. Advice For The Young - a classic song. Celebrate Wild Rice is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Wishes Of Happiness & Prosperi is Sacred Spirit’s best work in years. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. This track is full of harmonies and gets Chants And Dances Of The Nativ off to a relaxing start. I came to like Heal The Soul + Brandishing Th.
