Julie London had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Since completing 1991’s ‘All Through the Night’, Julie London fulfilled their contract with Columbia Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Lead single “All Through the Night” and “What Is This Thing Called Love?” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Julie London is one of my favourite bands of all time.
In What Is This Thing Called Love? Julie London spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Julie London sings Get Out of Town in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. My Heart Belongs to Daddy [Version 1] is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Julie London ever produced. So much energy, so exciting a sound.You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. At Long Last Love is the first taste of the new album. I think I Love You is the best song Julie London has ever done. I’ve Got You Under My Skin has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. There is marvelous mix of music in Love for Sale. Easy to Love (2:32) a good melody. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Make It Another Old-Fashioned, Please. This is one hell of a track. My Heart Belongs to Daddy [Version 2] (2:49) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Always True to You in My Fashion is a striking and quite long song. Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever.
