This album has some very good songs like Hawaiian War Chant and Dance Of The Hours. This album is in perfect progression from Spike Jones!
As always, Spike Jones’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Der Fuehrer’s Face is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Spike Jones ever produced. You Always Hurt The One You Love is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. The Man On The Flying Trapeze one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Laura is another strong production from Spike Jones. None But The Lonely Heart is the funkiest number on the album. A unique and uplifting song. This is one hell of a track. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Only one song from The Best of Spike Jones named William Tell Overture really got me. Cocktails For Two is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done.
