Self-described as Blues with lots of words, Sonny Terry comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This disc has all of the essential Sonny Terry classics. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Sonny Terry on ‘Whoopin The Blues’. This is what good Blues should be.
Riff and Harmonica Jump - A nice song. Custard Pie Blues is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Mad Man Blues is worth the money. The song All Alone Blues ending is my favorite… so catchy! Dirty Mistreated, Dont You Know is the albums biggest surprise. The song feels complete.
