Since Raison D’etre last CD (Collective Archives (Cd1)) on Blue Note Records back in 1999, I have felt a massive void in my life. Raison D’etre was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Raison D’etre and Collective Archives (Cd1) together. Raison D’etre had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Check it every song is worth the money for the Collective Archives (Cd1) CD!
Chalixtins has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Decalogue stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Out Of The Depths… is a great opener for Collective Archives (Cd1). Pharynx - For me, this is the best of the album. I believe Intrinsic Reason is one of the most excellent, heartfelt songs ever written. I came to like In Brooken Shields. Brooken Shield gives taste of what makes Raison D’etre special as a musician. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Wisdom Of Withhold is probably one of Raison D’etre’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. One listen to the sheer beauty of Saifeiod - Extended Version was all I needed. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Raison D’etre.
