Hooverphonic had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. IF YOU LIKE ALL Hooverphonic’S SONG GO FOR IT! Since completing 1998’s ‘Battersea’, Hooverphonic fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
One Way Ride is the astounding blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Hooverphonic sings Dictionary in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. The sound of Club Montepulciano is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. After about the third Eden listen through, I began to believe this song is Hooverphonic’s essence. Lung - A nice song. Electro Shock Faders - A catchy, upbeat tune. Out Of Tune is a bit of a show-tune. This Strange Effect is the more seemingly obscure song on Blue Wonder Power Milk that bear up best to repeated listening. First time I heard Renaissance Affair was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Hooverphonic is hitting on all cylinders in Tuna. I have all of Hooverphonic’s tracks and Magenta is probably the most his introspective effort. Blue Wonder Power Milk is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside.
