Now signed to Raison D’etre’s Sparrow Records, the title track from second album “Lost Fragments” leads Raison D’etre’s back-to-school campaign. On the Lithuania charts, superstar Raison D’etre’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Since completing 1998’s ‘In Extremis’, Raison D’etre fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Lost Fragments is not something you should pass up.
Don’t judge The Revival on the first listening. Overall a nice softer song. Music and lyrics of Decay creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Carnificina I, which shows, blatantly, how much Raison D’etre has evolved as a singer. Dissection I to me is the best you can get from Raison D’etre. In Carnificina Ii Raison D’etre is at his best. Only one song from Lost Fragments named Dissection Ii really got me. Synopsis I is a bit of a show-tune. Dissection Iii is one of the coolest songs Raison D’etre has ever recorded. Some call Inquest from Lost Fragments as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Synopsis Ii is a song to enjoy for years to come. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion.
