Green River was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Green River and Rehab Doll-Dry As a Bone together. Since Green River last CD (Rehab Doll-Dry As a Bone) on Capitol Records back in 1987, I have felt a massive void in my life. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Green River’s album Rehab Doll-Dry As a Bone falls to No. 2 with 129,000, a sales slide of 51%. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Rehab Doll-Dry As a Bone.
P.C.C. is the album’s biggest hit, I think. First time I heard Ozzie was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Unwind - For me, this is the best of the album. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. I think Searchin’ is the best song Green River has ever done. Ain’t Nothing to Do is just simply stunning. Some call Queen Bitch from Rehab Doll-Dry As a Bone as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Forever Means which is my favorite is a truly Green River sounding song. Rehab Doll is probably the highlight of the album. Swallow My Pride is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. In Together We’ll Never the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Porkfist - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Take a Dive is a song to enjoy for years to come. So much energy, so exciting a sound.
