On the Greece charts, superstar Keiko Matsui’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Keiko Matsui was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Keiko Matsui and Sapphire together. Such great and happy songs.
When I listen to Bouncing Bougainvillea in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. This is one hell of a track. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Some of the arrangements found on Sapphire are surprisingly edgy. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Nice and different song. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Sapphire is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. After about the third The River (Piano Solo Version) listen through, I began to believe this song is Keiko Matsui’s essence. Longing (Piano Solo Version) is a good listen every once in a while. Sapphire (Piano Solo Version) - A strong beat.
