This album has some very good songs like If I Should Fall From Grace With God and The Sick Bed Of Cuchulainn. I am not a real Rock: Pop-Rock music type of person, but i have to admit ‘The Rest Of The Best’ really is amazing. The Rest Of The Best carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. The Rest Of The Best constantly brilliant.
The Sick Bed Of Cuchulainn - A catchy, upbeat tune. The Old Main Drag is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after The Rest Of The Best have ended. Boys From The County Hell is the more seemingly obscure song on The Rest Of The Best that bear up best to repeated listening. Young Ned Of The Hill is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Dark Streets Of London - The Pogues first major hit. The Auld Triangle - I just love it. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in The Rest Of The Best. Get The Rest Of The Best and turn on Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah if you are going to sip your wine late at night. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. I now have Summer In Siam as one of my personal favorites. Turkish Song Of The Damned is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. The Rest Of The Best couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Lullaby Of London. Nice and different song. Hell’s Ditch gives taste of what makes The Pogues special as a musician.
