I am not a real Indie music type of person, but i have to admit ‘The Best of the Waterboys 1981-1990′ really is amazing. Since Waterboys last CD (The Best of the Waterboys 1981-1990) on Savoy Records back in 1991, I have felt a massive void in my life. On The Best of the Waterboys 1981-1990 album, Waterboys have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This album is a scorcher!
A fantastic track full of wonder. All The Things She Gave Me great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Whole Of The Moon (5:00) a good melody. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Spirit from the beginning to the end. Don’t judge Don’t Bang The Drum on the first listening. Fisherman’s Blues - My least favorite song on this album. Killing My Heart is the more seemingly obscure song on The Best of the Waterboys 1981-1990 that bear up best to repeated listening. Blew our minds when we first heard Strange Boat. And A Bang On The Ear - To me, this is the best song on the The Best of the Waterboys 1981-1990. Old England stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. In Man Is In Love/Kaliope House full palet of sound is used by Waterboys to accentuate the presentation.
