When you buy a Slowdive album, you know exactly what you’re getting! After debuting at No. 1 last week, Slowdive’s album Pygmalion falls to No. 2 with 718,000, a sales slide of 93%. There is so much to love about Slowdive, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Pygmalion.
As always, Slowdive’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Pygmalion. Trellisaze is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Cello is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Slowdive allows each song to breathe and flourish. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. All of songs on Pygmalion and have something to say letting alone Blue Skied an’ Clear. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor.
