This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Death In June. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Death In June energies, virtually a rebirth. On The Corn Years album, Death In June have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. If you love Death In June as much as I do, then Death In June The Corn Years is the CD for you!
Death In June is hitting on all cylinders in Torture By Roses. Love Murder can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Death In June is all about. In Zimmerit Death In June spins a tale you want to hear to the end. We Are The Lust is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. To Drown A Rose is beautiful, yet underrated track. Break The Black Ice - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Death In June. Behind The Rose (Fields Of Rape) hits the heart. Overall a nice softer song. This track is full of harmonies and gets The Corn Years off to a relaxing start. Break The Black Ice (Instrumental) - My least favorite song on this album. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in The Corn Years. Opening track Rule Again shows the best of Death In June. I like the agression and power of Hail! The White Grain. Blood Of Winter is a excellent sing-along. The Fog Of The World is exquisite song though, very addictive. Europa - The Gates Of Heaven gives good insight into the truths. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music.
