Death In June’s debut, ‘Ostenbraun (with LJDLP)’, does not fit easily into one genre. Death In June was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Death In June and Ostenbraun (with LJDLP) together. Ostenbraun (with LJDLP) isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This album is awesome.
You can find feelings on this piece of art. Death In June sings his heart out in The Congress. SD XXI is absolutely incredible. Ostenbraun (Collaboration I) is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Death In June released so far. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Ostenbraun (with LJDLP). Blood By Despair (Collaboration II) is one of these floating songs. After about the third Ostenmarsch listen through, I began to believe this song is Death In June’s essence. A Rose For SD (After She’s Dead) is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Blood By Despair (Reprise) is the astounding blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Triumph Of The Will is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit.
