Ivan Grach has compared writing for Apocalypse’s new album to that on ‘Faithless’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Since Apocalypse last CD (Faithless) on Blue Note Records back in 1993, I have felt a massive void in my life. There is so much to love about Apocalypse, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. IT makes me wanna dance!
Slay For Play is a cool, simple song by Apocalypse at the top of his game. In Division Apocalypse is at his best. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Extreme Sensation is such a astounding and optimistic song that things can get just better. Faithless is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Reason To Live is probably one of Apocalypse’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Lyrics of Shoot You Down are precise and evocative. Apocalypse is one of artists that allow his songs like Bad Breath to stand on their own and be heard.
