one years ago, Astor Piazzolla briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Otono Porteno”. After seeing Chau Paris, I had to have a good Astor Piazzolla cd. Since completing 1994’s ‘Chau Paris’, Astor Piazzolla fulfilled their contract with Mute Records and where under no obligation to release another album. To me Astor Piazzolla is the best band ever.
I came to like Otono Porteno. Invierno Porteno is one of the more up-tempo songs on Astor Piazalla and David Tononba. Primavera Portena pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Milonga Del Angel as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Such hits like La Muerte Del Angel will leave you hooked. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Campero from the beginning to the end. Overall a nice softer song. Acentuado is a fine track on any terms. Music of Triston is gentle, never overbearing. Compadre - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody.
