Lead single “Beyond This Horizon” and “Bed Of Roses” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Screaming Trees had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Screaming Trees’s debut, ‘Uncle Anesthesia’, does not fit easily into one genre. To me Screaming Trees is the best band ever.
I loved Bed Of Roses the first time I heard it. Uncle Anesthesia is perfect. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Story Of Her Fate. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Simple and heartfelt closing track Lay Your Head Down closes Uncle Anesthesia on a high note. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Musically Alice Said is superior to other tracks in Uncle Anesthesia. Time For Light was the first single release from the album Uncle Anesthesia. Disappearing - I just love it. Ocean Of Confusion is one of the best records ever. Closer - Check out that bassline!
