This album has some very good songs like A Night To Remember and Heartbreak. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Shalamar energies, virtually a rebirth. one years ago, Shalamar briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Heartbreak”. This album is in perfect progression from Shalamar!
In Heartbreak you won’t find any flashy solos. My Girl Loves Me is such a gorgeous and optimistic song that things can get just better. There It Is was the first single release from the album Les Hits. Over And Over is almost impossible to review. Uptown Festival - This is a very lively song. Don’t Get Stopped In Beverly Hills - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Shalamar. I Can Make You Feel Good motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Friends is a fine track on any terms. The Second Time Arround is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. In Amnesia the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Dancin In The Streets is the first taste of the new album. This song may be the most meaningful. I can’t stop humming along I Owe You One. Shalamar has astounded me with this amazing track. Take That To The Bank - Shalamar first major hit. Make That Move one of the best in my collection.
