There is so much to love about Shalamar, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This eight-song debut EP shows the promise that Shalamar has. Since Shalamar last CD (Big Fun) on Sparrow Records back in 1996, I have felt a massive void in my life. Shalamar is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Take Me To The River is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Right In The Socket is the most memorable and perfect. The Second Time Around - For me, this is the best of the album. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Only one song from Big Fun named 06.Let’s find the time for love really got me. Girl is astounding.
