It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Peabo Bryson energies, virtually a rebirth. On Anthology album, Peabo Bryson have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. While no new Peabo Bryson album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1990 tour in Europe. Last Hot Album by Peabo Bryson
First time I heard Can You Stop The Rain? was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Crosswinds is pretty funky and mellow. I find myself hearing bits of Feel The Fire here and there throughout my waking hours. Give Me Your Love is probably one of Peabo Bryson’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. There is marvelous mix of music in I Can Make It Better. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. I’m So Into You - This one makes me want to not only sing along. If You’re Ever In My Arms Again is nothing but pure genius. Overall a nice softer song. Just Another Day has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Let The Feeling Flow. Love Is Like Money has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. I came to like Minute By Minute. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Piece Of My Heart from the beginning to the end. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Remember When (So Much In Love) is a bit different from Peabo Bryson stereotypical stuff. Once you hear You’re Lookin’ Like Love To Me, you will listen to it over and over. She’s A Woman is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Show & Tell is such a exquisite and optimistic song that things can get just better. There’s No Guarantee stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Turn The Hands Of Time is one of the best records ever. From the moment you listen to Underground Music you’re hooked. We Don’t Have To Talk (About Love) is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Lovers After All is really the reason why I recommend buying Anthology. Gimme Some Time - A catchy, upbeat tune. What You Won’t Do For Love sets the tone for the entire album. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Maybe is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Peabo Bryson rocks harder than ever with Tonight, I Celebrate My Love.
