Magica melodia isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This is the first studio album from Rondo Veneziano since bad diagnosis in 1991. While no new Rondo Veneziano album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1991 tour in North America. This is one of Rondo Veneziano best albums
Canto D’Addio is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Rondo Veneziano released so far. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Vocals of Rondo Veneziano in In Fuga really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Controcanto is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Magica melodia. After about the third Damsels listen through, I began to believe this song is Rondo Veneziano’s essence. Barocco was the first single release from the album Magica melodia. Estasi Veniziana is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Magica melodia is Larmes De Pluie. Gentil Tenzone great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.I believe Venezia Lunare is one of the most gorgeous, heartfelt songs ever written. Rever Venise is a exquisite, simple song by Rondo Veneziano at the top of his game. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Magica Melodia.
