This nine-song debut EP shows the promise that Burzum has. There is so much to love about Burzum, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This album has some very good songs like Tuistos Herz and Der Tod Wuotans. Hlidskjalf constantly brilliant.
Burzum allows each song to breathe and flourish. In Ansuzgardaraiwo the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Music and lyrics of Die Liebe Nerpus’ creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Das Einsame Trauern Von Frijo is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Opening track Die Kraft Des Mitgefuhls shows the best of Burzum. Frijos Goldene Tranen - A strong beat. Vocals of Burzum in Der Weinende Hadnur really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm.
