Det Som Engang Var carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This album has some very good songs like Den Onde Kysten and Key To The Gate. Now signed to Burzum’s Mute Records, the title track from second album “Det Som Engang Var” leads Burzum’s back-to-school campaign. This is what good Metal: Heavy should be.
Key To The Gate is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. En Ring Til Aa Herske is beautiful, yet underrated track. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Han Som Reiste is my favorite song on Det Som Engang Var. I believe Naar Himmelen Klarner is one of the most astounding, heartfelt songs ever written. Snu Mikrokosmos Tegn - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Svarte Troner rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo.
