On the Estonia charts, superstar Billy Preston’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. It has been four years Billy Preston’ last studio CD, “Soul Meetin’” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This album has some very good songs like Steady Get ‘n’ It and Let Me Know. This is what good Electronic should be.
Let Me Know - arguably the best track on Soul Meetin’ album. If you are a Billy Preston fan, you will love Soul Meetin’. In Octopus Billy Preston spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Such hits like Slippin’ And Slidin’ will leave you hooked. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. I’m Comin’ Through on Soul Meetin’ is solid and easy to listen to. My Girl one is one of the better boring ones. Shotgun - To me, this is the best song on the Soul Meetin’. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Stop In The Name Of Love because the melody in the chorus is so good. Can’t You Hear My Heartbeat is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Downtown. Eight Days A Week is simply marvelous. King Of The Road is one of the best records ever. If I Had A Hammer - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Billy Preston. Go Now is such a amazing and optimistic song that things can get just better. Billy Preston must have run out of lyrics on the next track Don’t Let The Sun Catch You Cryin’.
