Since George Dalaras last CD (George Dalaras: A Portrait) on SixSteps records back in 1997, I have felt a massive void in my life. This album has some very good songs like Monahoyos O Konstandis and Klirothika. After debuting at No. 1 last week, George Dalaras’s album George Dalaras: A Portrait falls to No. 2 with 673,000, a sales slide of 75%. George Dalaras: A Portrait touched my soul like nothing else.
Strong, powerful vocals of George Dalaras in Klirothika are very impressive. Issoun Theos is absolutely incredible. Xenos good vocals. Lyrics of Tin Zoi Mou Mi Diavazis are precise and evocative. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of George Dalaras. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Kir’ Kostaki Ela Konda is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. O Ouranos Fevgi Varis - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Taxidi Sta Kithira is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Manouella is one of the coolest songs George Dalaras has ever recorded. Me Teliosses is worth the money. O Zorikos is another favourite of mine. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with A) Avgoustos B) To Pollaplo … Pente Hronia Dikasmenos is the albums biggest surprise. Osso Varoun Ta Sidera - I just love it. The opening track In’ Arrostia Ta Tragoudia is very much like you would expect from other albums. Get George Dalaras: A Portrait and turn on Stou Thoma if you are going to sip your wine late at night.
