Since completing 1998’s ‘Rhythm-Al-Ism (Intro)’, DJ Quik fulfilled their contract with Blue Note Records and where under no obligation to release another album. DJ Quik had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of DJ Quik energies, virtually a rebirth. Rhythm-Al-Ism constantly brilliant.
This is probably my favorite song on the album. DJ Quik emotions are reflected through So Many Wayz. Hand In Hand is one of the best records ever. I listened to the opening track Down, Down, Down and liked it a lot. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. One listen to the sheer beauty of No Doubt was all I needed. The first time I listened to Speed I was struck by its perfect sound. Whateva U Do - My least favorite song on this album. Thinkin’ ‘Bout U - another great track from the Rhythm-Al-Ism album. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Medley For A ”V” (The Pussy Medley) had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Bombudd II as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. I love the melodic melody of Get 2Getha Again and to this day it makes me feel good. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create.
