Lead single “Babylon The Bandit” and “Don’t Be Afraid” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Steel Pulse had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. There were many famous songs of Steel Pulse available. To me Steel Pulse is the best band ever.
Don’t Be Afraid on Babylon The Bandit is solid and easy to listen to. I listened to the opening track Love Walks Out and liked it a lot. When listening to Blessed Is The Man, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Kick That Habit is the more seemingly obscure song on Babylon The Bandit that bear up best to repeated listening. Once Sugar Daddy gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Steel Pulse must have run out of lyrics on the next track School Boy’s Crush (Jail Bait). Not King James Version pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. This track is full of harmonies and gets Babylon The Bandit off to a relaxing start.
